Our Livelihood sector projects focus on women from poor and marginalised communities – smallholders,
business-women, employees, and homeworkers, and seeks to empower them with knowledge and enhanced access to inputs,
services, technologies and opportunities. We attempt to build an enabling environment for these women within households,
in communities, and in markets.
Utthan Welfare Society puts special focus on entrepreneurial ventures, which are owned by women.
We promote microfinance, Self Help Groups, capacity building and small businesses and foster linkages between community
collectives and financial institutions. Through various interventions we try to improve literacy, numeracy and critical
thinking skills to promote sustainable livelihoods amongst communities.
